Marti Brenner: Project Manager
Marti Brenner is a project manager at Hicks Partners, LLC. She provides economic development consulting services ranging from analyzing prospective sites to securing public financing, property tax abatements, tax credits, wage assessments, training grants and other discretionary/statutory incentives. Brenner also provides incentive management services to ensure that clients remain compliant with agreements and realize awarded benefits.
During the past 11 years, Brenner has developed extensive experience at the state and local level in negotiating and structuring business incentive packages, particularly across the Midwest. She offers working knowledge of state and local sponsored incentive programs in Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. Brenner also has experience in many aspects of consulting with communities and public and private entities on economic developmental issues such as site selection, targeting, best practices and community preparedness.
Prior to joining Hicks Partners Brenner was a senior manger in the State and Local Tax Practice of KPMG LLP, where she focused on global location and expansion services. She began her professional career as audit associate for KPMG’s financial service and manufacturing clients.
Brenner received her Bachelor of Science in Honors Accounting from The Ohio State University.
